My name is Janna Saige and I am a filmmaker, living on Naarm/ Melbourne.
To my future collaborators, I want you to know that our work will be experimental and light hearted but also meaningful. Apart from directing films, I also enjoy editing, creating fun graphics and even sewing garments! In my art, storytelling the human experience plays an important role. WORKFLOW
Brainstorm
Once I get the brief from a project. I find who my target audience is and brainstorm any ideas I have, no idea is kept in the dark. I start conversations with whatever team I am working with to understand their creative vision better.
Mood boards
- After writing everything down on paper, I create mood boards, dive into research and find inspirations. I think through what i want my work to convey to the audience and what message is being created.
Many Drafts
- With a brain full of knowledge and a passionate drive, I start creating art! I believe in creating multiple prototypes and different versions of how art can be shown.
Finalize
- Finally, after countless drafts, I compile and export everything in an organised manner. However, the work doesn't stop there, I have learnt the importance of marketing a project! But that doesn't mean a short holiday isn't deserved!
